We had our first ¨working day¨in Guatemala today. The medical clinic saw thirty-six patients between the three providers we brought down, with problems ranging from ear infections, to parasitic infections, to epilepsy. I saw the adult patients and as expected diabetes was the most common diagnosis, but I am impressed by the tremendous progress the ODIM clinic has made in managing the disease. The patients have a better understanding of the correct diet, carry cards listing their medicines, and are much better-controlled than they were when we were last here a year ago.
We are all healthy and appreciate your ongoing prayers so much. Thank you for the encouragement and support. We can´t wait to tell you the stories and show you the pictures!
