Welcome Chris

In July, we welcomed Chris Allen as our new Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Chris graduated with a B.A. in History, Religious Studies, and American Culture Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. After hearing a call to ministry during college, he attended Duke Divinity School, where he received a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Christian Education.

After graduating from Duke, Chris has served at Cookeville First UMC, Belmont UMC, and most recently at the Aldersgate-Tulip Street charge in East Nashville. Chris is passionate about leading the church to connect with folks who feel disconnected from God and the church. He has a heart for nurturing the faith of all people as we grow in God’s grace.

Chris is married to Erica Allen, an associate pastor of Grace UMC in Mt. Juliet. He enjoys coaching high school football, reading, watching movies, and training for marathons.

I am the minister of Unity of Music City in Old Hickory TN. I send live today, and was told to know how our spiritual community can stand with yours after the incident of hate at your facility. Denise

Rev. John M McLean says:

Dear Rev. Allen, We at Unity of Nashville enfold you and your congregation in Love. I and my chaplains will pray that this hate-related incident does not diminish your spirit or enthusiasm for your work in our community. Peace And All Good, Rev. John McLean
