How to Join West End UMC
West End UMC welcomes new members into the congregation each month in a number of ways based on your individual situation. If you are already Baptized Christian, the process is a simple transfer of membership and profession of faith. NOTE: For adults who seek to be baptized and confirmed for the first time, please contact John Feldhacker to schedule an Adult Baptism Preparation session (321-8500, ext 8838).
If you are transferring from another denomination or joining a church for the first time, we encourage you to attend our West End 101 Class which meets at 9:45 am Sundays each month in Classroom 208. Each of these classes address different questions about what it means to be a Christian from the perspective of the United Methodist Church. Each class is intentionally self-contained so that you can take them in any order. No pre-registration is required.
We receive new members at either the 8:45 or 11:00 a.m. worship service, usually on the fourth Sunday of each month.
If you are feeling called to explore membership, to join, or simply raise questions, please call John Feldhacker, Minister of Congregational Care, at 321-8500, ext. 8836 or email him at jfeldhacker@westendumc.org.
