Ministries Adults Mature Singles – OWA
One With Another is a lay led ministry of West End, whose primary purpose is to provide a variety of opportunities in which mature single men and women, whether widowed, divorced or never married, can enrich their social, spiritual and emotional lives.
The group meets for dinner and a program on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in McWhirter Hall and plays volleyball weekly in the church gym on Friday nights at 7 p.m.
Weekly announcements regarding planned activities, along with the monthly newsletter keep members informed. The wide variety of activities include weekly volleyball games, parties, planned recreational and cultural activities.
Creativity and leadership are encouraged by the expectation that members will serve on an OWA Council which directs the group's activities, as well as serving as committee members and project sponsors. The diversity of programs and activities and the opportunities are limited only by our ideas and vision.
