A small group from West End United Methodist Church is going on an exploratory trip to Uganda this summer to visit our partners at Raise the Roof. We are exploring whether or not this trip would be feasible for future West End international trips. Raise the Roof Academy is committed to holistic development in rural Uganda, focusing on education, health (on campus and in the community), income generation, and collaboration with local leaders.  We'd like to bring supplies with us to their schools and clinics.   Please check out this list (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1VTZIF4DJBUSH?ref_=wl_share) and if you've got anything new or gently used on this list already, feel free to bring it to the blue bin marked in the lobby. Sometimes teachers and churches are cleaning out their craft/game/sports/costume supplies and are able to donate great materials. Sometimes medical professionals are able to donate items like toothbrushes, eyeglasses, dental tools, nitrile gloves, bandaging etc. Keep in mind that we have over 1,700 students, and the community medical clinic usually has over 2,000 community members. Let's get the word out and start collecting!
