Study of Covenant Discipleship
Growth in the Christian Life requires the support of a community of disciples. Covenant Discipleship groups gather for one hour each week to hold themselves mutually accountable for their discipleship. They do this by means of a covenant, which they have written, based on the four dimensions of the General Rule of Discipleship: Compassion, Justice, Worship and Devotion. These weekly conversations are centered in grace to be a compass heading for living in the world.
To learn more, you are invited to join the Lenten Study on Covenant Discipleship to be led by Dr. David Lowes Watson. It will introduce the Biblical, theological and historical foundations of Covenant Discipleship. All are invited to participate in the study, regardless of their intent to join a group later.
Please register below prior to the study so we can be sure to have plenty of books available. Classes will be held Wednesday evenings throughout Lent, February 10 - March 16, 6:00-7:15 pm in Room 306. New Covenant Discipleship groups will be formed at the conclusion of the study in March.
