It's Not Fair!

Speakers:Carol Cavin-Dillon
Topics:Children's moment, Sermon, Sunday service

It’s Not Fair!  –  Continuing with our sermon series from Matthew, today’s passage is a difficult parable wherein, from one perspective, a farmer is imminently fair, but from another, some laborers feel cheated.  Perhaps this parable shows us that the human idea of fairness is not God’s idea of fairness.  And perhaps we are to understand that our tendency to compare ourselves to others is also not Godly.   So what is Godly?   (NOTE: We are beginning to reopen from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The early service has a chamber choir but no congregation.  The late service has a limited congregation but no choir.  Except for some of the music, the services are essentially the same.  NOTE: Both videos begin with the Children’s Moment and sermon, but after it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want to see the entire service.)
