This is a Wednesday evening series that rotates each month through WORD (scriptures for the month), WISDOM (Rev. Baxter interviews a guest), WONDER (exploring spiritual practices), and WAY (the way we live out our faith, ministries of compassion and care). Tonight’s session is WAY, and Lindsey Krinks, author, and co-founder and Director of Education at Open Table Nashville, an organization that serves the underserved, the homeless. In this session Lindsey gives a session titled, “Praying with Our Feet – A Book Chat,” and gives us a walk through what God calls us to be and do where the poor and homeless are concerned, reading sections of the book she has written. She frames it in the realm of justice that Jesus talks about where the hungry are fed, the homeless are housed, and the prisoners are freed. After that, Brandon interviews her, asking questions to probe more about her calling and the issues she and we face when we look at the underbelly of the city.
