Ministries West End UMC Preschool Play School
Play School operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. New classes are formed at the beginning of June and mid-August. The Play School is closed for 8 holidays, 9 professional days, 1 Parent Teacher Conference day and 2 weeks at Christmas. See the 2012 Preschool Calendar (PDF) for a complete listing.
- Children from 1 year through four years are eligible to attend.
- The teacher–child ratio is 1 to 4 for Toddlers in a class of 8 and 1 to 6 for Twos, Threes, and Pre-K 4s in a class of twelve children.
- Toddlers and Twos bring their own lunch. Threes and Pre-K 4s are served a heart healthy lunch prepared on site. A mid-morning snack and milk at lunch are provided.
Fees
An annual registration fee is charged: $25 for the summer session and $75 for the fall/spring session.
Monthly tuition is based on the number of days per week a child attends. Tuition for Toddlers and Twos is $152 for one day per week; $304 for two days per week; and $456 for three days per week. Tuition for Threes and Pre K 4s includes the cost of lunch and is $338 for two days per week and $507 for three days per week. Parents may sell days they are unable to use to the parent of another registered child.
Registration is held in mid-January for members of West End United Methodist Church and for families currently enrolled in the Play School or Day School. Registrations from families not currently enrolled are received beginning February 1st, continuing throughout the year.
