Christian Home Ministries of Nashville, Inc.

Christian Home Ministries (CHM) is dedicated to the provision of helping ex-prisoners discover and pursue God’s purpose for their lives. CHM serves ex-prisoners release to the greater Nashville area by providing housing, meals and support. Service opportunities: mentors and board members.

Family Reconciliation Center

Family Reconciliation Center (FRC) provides therapeutic services and programs to youth and families who are impacted by having an incarcerated loved one. They strive to promote healthy family reunification that will strengthen the family unit as a whole.

West End hosts a Christmas Dinner during Advent for families participating FRC programs. We need table hosts, persons to shop for family gift baskets, and volunteers to organize craft activities.

Magdalene/Thistle Farms

Magdalene is a residential program for women who have survived lives of prostitution, trafficking, addiction and life on the streets. Thistle Farms is the social enterprise that is run by the women of Magdalene.

Mending Hearts, Inc.

Mending Hearts provides shelter, hope and healing to women who may be homeless due to addiction, co-occurring mental health and substance related disorders.

Prison Ministries

The Prison Ministries at West End United Methodist Church support the spiritual decisions made by the incarcerated. Even though prison inmates present practical and moral problems for our society, we are called to remember the parable of Jesus in which he tells his followers that visiting prisoners is indicative of a right relationship with God.

West End has volunteers serving at both Riverbend Maximum Security Institution and the Tennessee Prison for Women.

 

Project Return

Project Return equips former offenders with the education, coaching, and support services necessary to gain employment and begin a new life.
