West End United Methodist Church

Everyone is welcome at West End! We seek to be the loving light of Christ in Nashville and beyond. We gather as the people of God with a wide range of religious backgrounds, education levels, political and theological perspectives, and we value that diversity. We welcome and celebrate the gifts god has given to everyone: every age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic and family status, ethnicity, and mental and physical ability. We believe God loves everyone unconditionally!

Our worship is traditional in nature, featuring our beautiful pipe organ, choir and includes preaching, prayer – both spoken and silent – and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion on regular occasions.

West End follows the traditional church calendar for the seasons of the Christian year, often reflected in the themes of the services, the readings and music. The colors of the paraments (linens on the tables, lectern and pulpit) also reflect those seasons.

Children are welcome in worship and are encouraged to participate to the extent that they are able. If you would like childcare during the worship service for children younger than three years, our nursery is located on the first floor inside our Preschool area.  Following the Children's Sermon in each service of worship, we provide Children's Church for all kids ages 3-5 and in Kindergarten.  That program meets in our Scales Chapel, which is down the hall from the Sanctuary.
