Advocacy Training with Creation Care

Want to speak up on important social issues but not confident on how to do so?  Members of the Creation Care Committee will be leading a 45 minute session that will equip you to contact elected officials regarding the proposed expansion of the Bordeaux Landfill, an issue with both environmental and racial justice implications. While the focus of the session is on this specific issue, it will cover the basics of letter writing advocacy that apply to all justice issues. Especially during this time of COVID-19 precautions, when going to speak with legislators is not possible for everyone, letter writing is a great way to let our elected officials know the thoughts and feelings of concerned citizens.

We have three opportunities (same material each session) for you to learn.
