Join us August 20 for Promotion Sunday and Blessing of the Backpacks!  Promotion Sunday is the day when all of our Sunday School children, 3 year olds through 6th grade, will promote to the next grade or class. The fun begins at 9:45 a.m. in McWhirter Hall. We will have a celebration for parents and kids, and then after kids go to their new classrooms, parents will stay for a parent meeting and fellowship time. Kids will have an opportunity to make new friends, learn about and experience Jesus’ love, hear Bible stories that help us love God and one another in our world today.  

Also as part of our preparations for the new school year, we will be having a Blessing of the Backpacks in 8:45 and 11 a.m. worship.  This will be an opportunity for us to pray for kids as they go back to school.  Students will be invited to bring their backpacks with them and come forward during the service.
