The Taizé Service of Prayer and Healing is a different kind of worship service. Contemplative in nature, it is one of the ways to get in touch with one’s mystical self in the company of others with a similar intent. As she has for years, Sally Ahner introduces the service and leads it. This particular Taizé service is around the labyrinth, a traditional Taizé symbol and exercise in spiritual practice. Sally begins by explaining the origin of the labyrinth (it is not a maze) and how to use it for this service. The scripture is from Ecclesiastes 13, the familiar passage of opposites, read by two voices in this service. People are encouraged to walk the labyrinth at any point during the service.
